New radiology team joins Little Company of Mary – San Pedro Hospital.

The field of radiology has grown by leaps and bounds in the past decade and is constantly changing. At Little Company of Mary – San Pedro Hospital (LCM – SPH), that change includes a new team of radiologists — David Feldman, MD, Brian Morrow, MD, G. Michael Chung, MD, and Chris Smith, MD.

Although new to the halls at LCM – SPH, Dr. Feldman is certainly not new to the field of radiology, having worked in the field since the 1980s. “Radiology was a natural choice for me as I enjoy photography, and it is a natural mix of images, photos and technology,” Feldman says.

Dr. Chung enjoys the diversity of radiology. “We are working with bits and pieces of so many different areas so you need a broad fund of knowledge and have to keep on top of everything,” he says. “It makes it intellectually stimulating.”

 
Dr. Smith was drawn to the field while working on a project with a radiologist looking at MRI as a way of evaluating cutaneous burns. “Radiology is one of the central services in a hospital because of the intricate relationship with essentially all other medical subspecialties to aid in the care of the patient,” Smith says.   Continue »
