Providence Little Company of Mary Liver and Pancreatic Disease Center (LPDC)
offers the South Bay and surrounding communities high quality cancer detection
and treatment options through a multidisciplinary care team. Led by Dr.
Richard R. Lopez, Jr., who has extensive training and experience in liver and
pancreatic surgeries, the team consists of Gastroenterologists, General Surgeons,
Medical Oncologists, Anesthesiologists, Radiologists, and Radiation Oncologists.
Our goal is to provide a comprehensive approach in treating liver, biliary and
pancreatic cancers and other diseases. This approach allows us to utilize the
skills of highly trained specialists in various disciplines to deliver the most
effective, customized treatment plan for each patient. We believe such an
approach will provide exceptional results.
What We Do
Conceived to meet the complex needs of patients with diseases of the liver, bile
ducts and pancreas, the LPDC evaluates each patient individually, establishes an
accurate diagnosis and facilitates treatment. Working with specialists from
multiple disciplines, the LPDC utilizes a full array of advanced diagnostic
services ranging from routine lab tests to complex imaging studies. Patients are
educated about their disease and possible treatment options. Based on the evaluation,
the LPDC works with the patient and the referring physician to facilitate and
implement an individualized treatment plan. The LPDC strives to maintain
continuity with patients before, during and after treatment.
