Dr. Murata is a native of the Los Angeles area. After years
of practicing and teaching at UCLA, he relocated to the South
Bay and currently resides in Palos Verdes.
Dr. Murata spends much of his free time volunteering for the
American Cancer Society and has served as the president of its
California division. He helped develop the California
Comprehensive Cancer Plan and works tirelessly to reduce
disparities in cancer care for underserved
populations.
He enjoys spending time with his wife, Arlene, and their two
sons, Eric and Michael.
