Dr. Behnam received his undergraduate degree from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) in Microbiology and Molecular genetics. He then attended Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU) for medical school. He completed his internship and residency at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF), Fresno, where in two years he received the top resident award back to back and was the top graduating resident.

Dr. Behnam is dedicated to the well being of every one of his patients. He takes the detail approach to evaluating and treating his patients.

While not working, Dr. Behnam enjoys sporting activities, ranging from running marathons to coaching a youth basketball team.
