Sub-Acute Ventilator Care

Ventilator and tracheostomy care is available at Little Company of Mary Sub-Acute Care Center – South Bay. We provide continuous nursing and respiratory services to each patient in a sub-acute care setting, located within an extended care facility. Our goal is to create an environment which will minimize further disease progress, aid in preserving the stability of the resident, and return the individual to the highest level of function or independence possible.  

Whenever possible, patients are gently weaned from ventilators. We also attend to all physical and psychosocial needs by providing an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. We strive to maintain a home-like environment that preserves each person’s dignity. Medical conditions frequently requiring ventilator care include:
