Diabetes

While the exact cause of diabetes is not known, genetics and lifestyle, such as obesity and lack of exercise, appear to play a role. There is no known cure for diabetes. But management of the disease can prevent or greatly reduce complications and allows persons with the diabetes to live a healthy, productive life.

Management of the disease includes a healthy diet, a regular exercise program, and weight loss. Medications, such as oral diabetes pills or insulin are also used when necessary. In addition, it is important to monitor blood sugar levels on a regular basis. Knowing your blood sugar levels will help you control your diabetes.

Regain control of your life with our help. People who have been diagnosed with diabetes often feel frustrated with the burden of managing their disease. You may feel as if your life is out of control and no one really understands. There is hope.
