While the primary goals of health care are to prevent and cure disease, there are times
when these are no longer possible. When the focus of care in a life-threatening illness
shifts from cure to comfort, patients, families and physicians can turn to Hospice for
skilled and compassionate care.
By providing medical expertise and emotional and spiritual support, our Hospice helps
those with a terminal illness live an alert and pain-free life in the peaceful surroundings
of their own homes. An interdisciplinary team of professionals and volunteers provide
physical, emotional and spiritual care for both patient and family. Affirming the quality
of daily life for all, Hospice focuses on expert pain and symptom management, while striving
to meet the needs of both patient and family.
