Urgent Care Centers

Q: What if I go to an Urgent Care Center and my condition is too serious?

A: Urgent Care Center staff are trained to evaluate any potential emergent problems. If you need to be in a hospital, the staff will call the “911” system operator to have you immediately transported to the nearest Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center.

Q: If I have a regular doctor, can I still utilize the Urgent Care Center?

A: Absolutely! If your regular doctor is not available, we will see you. If your regular doctor needs information about your visit for follow-up care, we will take care of that, too!

Q: What if I don’t have a regular doctor?

A: You are still welcome to come in for care! If you are interested in establishing a relationship with a doctor on a long-term basis, many of our urgent care physicians see regular patients. We would be happy to refer you.

Q: Will you bill my insurance?

A: We accept and will bill nearly all insurance plans and MediCare. You will be responsible for any co-payments or deductibles. Be sure to bring your insurance card and any other pertinent information. We will need to make a copy.

Q: Will the Urgent Care Centers accept my HMO plan?

A: Some of our Urgent Care Centers may accept your insurance, while others may not. It is best to check with your health plan’s representative before you come in for care.
