Little Company of Mary – San Pedro Hospital was named one of the nation’s top 100 performance improvement leader hospitals by Evanston, Ill.-based Solucient®, the nation’s leading source of healthcare information products. This distinction reflects the commitment and compassion of the hospital’s employees, management, physicians, and volunteers who made this possible.

This award recognizes “improved hospital-wide performance consistently, year-over-year, at a substantially faster rate than peers across the U.S.” Solucient analyzed more than 2,700 hospitals nationally in nine hospital performance indicators during the period of 2000-2004 and compared them to their appropriate peer groups. Little Company of Mary – San Pedro Hospital was in the medium-size community hospital grouping (bed size 100-249).
